Commitment

As a psychotherapist at Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, I’m dedicated to providing a safe, supportive space where my clients—especially children—can explore their emotions and develop resilience. My approach centers on holistic healing, focusing on the connection between mind, body, and emotional well-being to help clients experience personal growth and lasting change.

Areas of Focus

I primarily work with children and adolescents, offering specialized support for anxiety and trauma. I also help adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions. My areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety and Trauma: I use evidence-based techniques to help clients manage anxiety and recover from trauma, promoting both immediate relief and long-term resilience.
  • Emotional Regulation in Children and Adolescents: I guide young clients in understanding and managing their emotions, helping them build confidence and emotional balance.
  • Behavioral Challenges: I support children and families in addressing behavioral issues, creating practical coping strategies to improve daily life.
  • Self-Esteem and Identity: I work with clients of all ages to build self-worth and develop a stronger sense of identity, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
  • Family Dynamics and Transitions: I assist individuals and families in improving communication, navigating life transitions, and finding stability in their relationships.

Therapeutic Approach

I tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. My approach focuses on holistic psychotherapy and trauma-informed care, drawing from the following methods:

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): I help children and adolescents process traumatic experiences and reduce trauma-related symptoms using this evidence-based method.
  • Play Therapy: Through therapeutic play, I help children express emotions, process trauma, and develop healthy coping strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I assist clients in identifying and changing negative thought patterns, promoting healthier responses to anxiety and trauma.
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): I incorporate mindfulness techniques, such as meditation and yoga, to help clients manage stress, enhance self-awareness, and reduce anxiety.
  • Holistic Therapy: I focus on the mind-body connection, integrating relaxation techniques to support overall emotional and physical well-being.

Professional Disclosure Statement

As a therapist in the process of completing my clinical hours toward full licensure, I work under the supervision of Anthony Skerritt, LMHC (License #014060). This supervisory relationship ensures that my clients receive the highest standard of care, as my supervisor and I regularly review cases and discuss treatment approaches. While under supervision, I maintain full responsibility for the therapeutic process, and both my supervisor and I strictly uphold the confidentiality of all client information, ensuring your privacy and trust are fully respected.

Personal Interests

In my personal time, I enjoy hiking, nature walks, and running. When outdoor activities aren’t possible, I spend time drawing and reading classical literature, finding meaning in life’s simple moments.
