Commitment

As a psychotherapist at Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, I am dedicated to empowering clients by placing them in control of their therapeutic journey. I focus on a strength-based, person-centered approach that helps clients take ownership of their healing process, leading to more meaningful and long-lasting changes. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to make the changes they need to improve their emotional well-being.

Areas of Focus

I primarily work with adults, providing specialized support in:

  • Trauma Recovery: Assisting clients in processing and healing from trauma, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and holistic approaches.
  • Self-Esteem and Anxiety Management: Helping clients build self-worth and manage anxiety through cognitive and behavioral interventions.
  • Adults Raised by Parents with Personality Disorders: Providing support for clients who have experienced emotional challenges growing up with a parent who has a personality disorder, helping them navigate their own identity, emotional resilience, and relational patterns.

Therapeutic Approach

I tailor my therapeutic methods to meet each client’s unique needs by combining evidence-based and holistic techniques. My approach includes:

  • Holistic Psychotherapy: Treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to address deep-rooted issues and promote overall well-being.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping clients identify and reshape negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and emotional distress.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encouraging clients to accept their thoughts and emotions while committing to value-driven actions, promoting lasting personal growth.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Guiding clients in understanding and integrating their internal "parts" to heal from trauma and foster self-compassion.
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): Assisting clients, especially those with complex trauma, in processing traumatic experiences and reducing trauma-related symptoms.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy: Exploring unconscious processes and past experiences, particularly for clients dealing with trauma or family-related issues.

Specializations

I specialize in:

  • Trauma Recovery: Using a blend of CBT, IFS, and psychodynamic therapy to help clients process trauma and build resilience.
  • Anxiety and Self-Esteem: Assisting clients in developing healthier self-esteem and managing anxiety with targeted cognitive and behavioral approaches.
  • Adults Raised by Parents with Personality Disorders: Supporting individuals in navigating the emotional and relational challenges that arise from being raised by a parent with a personality disorder.
