Amanda Brown is an Associate Therapist at Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, where her lifelong passion for helping others has flourished into a dedicated career. She holds a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Law and Public Policy from the institution now known as PennWest California. Amanda is currently in the process of completing her clinical hours while pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University.


Before transitioning to mental health counseling, Amanda spent eight years as a Program Director for a non-profit organization, where she played a crucial role in preventing community evictions and assisting individuals in crisis. Her extensive experience in crisis intervention has now pivoted towards mental health, where she is focused on enhancing the quality of life for her clients.


Amanda specializes in solution-focused therapy, prioritizing practical solutions and empowering her clients to utilize their inherent strengths. She also integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy into her practice, tailoring her approach to match each client's unique style and growth objectives. The virtual therapeutic space she offers is designed to be warm, safe, and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable environment for her clients' journeys.


Outside her professional life, Amanda enjoys writing poetry, reading non-fiction, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new activities, foods, and environments. She places great importance on her own spiritual growth and quality of life, believing in the strong connection between mental well-being and spirituality. This holistic perspective is a key component of her therapy sessions. Amanda is committed to exploring the untapped potential of her clients' minds, using affirmations and tools that align with their personal transformation goals. Her approach to therapy is more than just a counseling session; it's a collaborative learning journey, and she is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for her clients to thrive.

Supervision: Amanda Brown's practice is conducted under the guidance of Sherene Henry, LMHC, LPC, NCC (License #012789). This supervisory relationship is instrumental in expanding Amanda’s repertoire of clinical interventions within the field of counseling. It encompasses activities such as case review, discussion, observation through shadowing, and examination of clinical notes. The objective of this supervision is to foster Amanda’s growth into a competent counseling practitioner, enhancing her skills and practical application in the field. Similar to the treating clinician, supervisors maintain the same level of client confidentiality, ensuring ethical and private treatment of all cases.
